I think the author chose "chew on this" as the title because, he is using a play on words. You have to chew food to eat it, and the author is trying to tell the readers about what their actually chewing.

Personally, i don't think it matters if it is a play on words. It is just a title. i do agree though that "Newch" has the right idea about what the title means

I think they chose the title because they woulded to let people know what is in the fast food.

I dont know why the author chose this name.I doht think it matters. It's what is in between the covers that matters.

BJV has a valid point. It is entirely possible that the author chose this name to warn people about whats actually in their fast food. As does SD on the statement that its whats between the covers that actually matter. However, in my opinion, the title does matter, because its like a very basic, very simple introduction. Plus, it tells the reader what the story might be about.
I think the author chose this title is because he's telling what the average American dosen't want to hear by and that what people are chewing dosen't quite meet the eye.

newch, i disagree with you that the title does matter because, lets face it you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, much less its title.
