Stop the Pop!

Do you think that the National School Lunch Program is still able to fulfill its 1946 mission to "safeguard the health and wellbeing of the nation's children"? Why or why not?

I don't think that the national school lunch progam is still able to fulfill its 1946 mission because the lunch progam is still taking its time to do so.The result to that is that children are still being overweight and unhealthy.I think that lunch progam needs to stop taking their time and start to add healther foods.

I do think that the National School Lunch Program is ABLE to fulfill its 1946 mission to "safeguard the health and wellbeing of the nations children". I'm sure they get a nice percentage of the national budget. However, I don't think the program is doing a good job. Most of the foods served in school are just as bad, and some are probably worse, as eating at a fast food resturant. Infact, I'll bet that the school lunches are some of the least healthiest things a person can eat. Also, if its supposed to safeguard our well being, then why does Gym and/or P.E. seem to be the most regularly missed class? It just doesn't make sense to me anymore.

I do not think that the National School Lunch Program is ABLE to complete its 1946 mission because it managed to do so many times before fast food came out. Now though there is way to much fast food available to teenagers. This has caused much obesity to occur because fast food tastes way to good. Did you know the chemical taste flavor used in some fast foods is being used in the same dairy products cuasing so much trouble righ now? Actually i think it IS causing some of the trouble in those dairy products! You really don't want to actually eat food with a chemical in it that might be causing some food poisoning, do you?!?

I don't think that the National School Lunch Program could fulfill their mission due to the continous advertising that drill kids.Due to advertising and the illusion of great taste. Maybe the next 2 generations once this generations children expose their child to healthy foods. Though that still won't happpen with fast food companies influence. My Ninja
